Job Description
Material Coordinator – Oil & Gas Project Support
We are looking for an experienced Material Coordinator to support an oil & gas project management/site team. The position will be based at Johor as the hiring point, with the actual worksite to be assigned based on the Work Order/project requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material planning, tracking, receiving, storage, issuance and reconciliation for project/site activities.
- Monitor material availability against construction, commissioning and project execution schedules.
- Liaise with procurement, warehouse, vendors, logistics, QA/QC and site teams to ensure timely delivery and readiness of materials.
- Maintain accurate material records, status reports, MTO, delivery notes, inspection records and close-out documentation.
- Support material expediting, shortage reporting, surplus control and preservation requirements.
- Ensure material movement and documentation comply with project, client and HSE requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years as a Material Coordinator or similar role.
- Good knowledge of procurement, warehouse, logistics and material control processes.
- Experience in onshore/offshore, fabrication yard, construction or commissioning projects will be an advantage.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
